Cat Modica

Hair and Makeup Artist, Wig Ventilator, and Special Effects Artist for film and theatre.

Cat Modica began working with hair and makeup while completing her B.S. in Theatre Arts with Liberty University. Two weeks after graduating in 2023 she moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico to complete a summer apprenticeship with The Santa Fe Opera as a Wig and Makeup Apprentice. It was in the wig shop under the stage that she found a love for wig and makeup design, deciding to make a career in the discipline. During the process of earning a cosmetology license she continued to work on short films and projects in North Carolina and Virginia, including a few weddings. When not working in the theatre or film world as a wig technician or special effects artist, you can find Cat dancing at a local West Coast Swing or Lindy Hop scene, or possibly hiking a few miles to a lake.
